The mission of the Human Resource Benefits Office is to provide the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe members, employees, and all its entities with the best benefits and customer service available. The competitive benefits program will retain the best overall workforce and highly skilled employees.

How do I get started?

Fill out an application at the personnel office in the Human Resource Building. The application will be processed, approved and entered into the finance system. Don't forget your two forms of ID. (driver's license, State ID, Tribal ID, birth certificate, passport or social security card) .

 

Who can apply?

Ute Mountain Tribal Members that are not currently employed in any other program or department. You must be 18 years or older. If you are 18-21 years old and do not have a High School diploma or GED, you will be required to take an educational assessment and then be enrolled in the GED program 16 hours of the 32 hours a week. The Temporary Worker must not be drawing any other benefits.  Examples are: Social Security Benefits, Vocational Rehab, active military duty or WIA program benefits.

About the Reservation

The Ute Mountain Ute Reservation is located in the Four Corners region of the United States. The majority of the reservation consist of lands about 553,008 acres in Montezuma and La Plata Counties, Colorado and San Juan County, New Mexico.

All of these lands are held in trust by the U.S. Government. The Ute Mountain Ute Reservation has substantial range, historical, and archaeological resources.

The Ute Mountain Ute Reservation is a Sovereign Nation.Currently the reservations has about 2,000+ residents.
